primarily to annoy pog, as he hates bloggers.

that’s a lie, i’m sorry i began our relationship with a lie. it won’t happen again.

it just did :(

anyway, me and this blog. i love it. i love writing, and as i’m no longer a student, the dexterous and eloquent prose i provide here will keep my writing muscles in tact.

i was an english language and french major at the university of manchester. the eagle-eyed (and the pedantic) will surely by now have noticed my lack of capitalisation for proper nouns and at the start of a sentence. this is purely aesthetic, and not some huge failing of the tertiary education system. don’t panic.

i will write blogs as if i know you. my writing style is utterly colloquial which i love.
countless (17) years of formal essay writing in the education system have instilled in me a hatred of formal prose, however, when required of me, i can still rock the formal boat.

so, according to jasper, the blog is the new cv. perhaps some future employer of mine is reading this, and getting a more “real” sense of who i am.
hello future employer, i am great and work really hard, and really deserve that raise you are considering giving to me.

myspace and facebook are great tools for social networking, but very few people actually use them to their full advantage. instead they choose to tell each they are “teh hawt” and post pictures of themselves taken at frighteningly obtuse angles. this trend threatened to claim me for a time during my second year at university, but i grew the hell up and realised i wanted something more.

and so here we are, more mature than myspace and more personal than facebook;
